Who are we?

Vision Pharmaceuticals Ltd T/A Spectrum is the trading name of the business. Our full business address is Fernbank House, Springwood Way, Tytherington Business Park, Macclesfield SK10 2XA. Our ICO Registration number is ZA353118.  This policy relates to our website www.spectrumophthalmics.uk and also covers our day-to-day processing activities.

Basis for processing:

We do not collect any personal data directly from our website. All contacts we use within the business are collected via emails requesting information, details taken over the telephone, using data from past sales, trade shows or day-to-day sales calls from our external sales teams. Our primary lawful source of personal data is via legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(f)), and under the lawful basis of being necessary for the performance of a contract (GDPR Article 6(b)).

Purpose of processing:

Personal data is processed entirely for the legitimate interest of maintaining contact between us and you (our customer or potential customer) in order to deliver our service and fulfil any contracts which exist between us. This also relates to any marketing of products and training days, or other marketing purposes, that we feel would be of interest to you. By entering your data at our various contact points, you agree that the data entered may be used for service-related purposes. This includes sending you information about our products, participation in training days or webinars, or other informative marketing purposes, which we think you may find interesting. We use the Salesforce and ActiveCampaign applications to store your data for the purpose of coordinating sales and marketing efforts and to send you requested information about products or services we offer.

We do not process any special category data within the meaning of GDPR.

Do we ever share personal data?

We do not disclose any personal data and would only do so under a legitimate request from a law enforcement agency. If data is requested from another business partner, permission will be obtained, so as to ensure you are aware of where the data is being disclosed to and the reason for this.

Data Retention

We will retain personal data for a period of seven years from last contact. If you would like us to delete your data sooner then please contact us by emailing vision@spectrumophthalmics.uk and we will do so.

Our website is an informational site and collects no personal data, nor is it used as an online store. Where do we process data?

We process data in the UK at the above business address. We do utilise cloud computing applications, which means that data may be stored outside of the UK. though every effort has been made to ensure the security of the sites we use. We apply UK data protection law and the GDPR conditions to our processing.
