NAVIJECT™ Single-Use - Safety Through Handling Simplicity
The new NAVIJECT™ system from Medicel represents yet another breakthrough for safe and effective micro-incision cataract surgery.
Complications associated with the shortcomings of other lens injection systems are now a thing of the past. NAVIJECT™ simplifies the loading of the lens, enables smooth and efficient lens injection and ensures the critical process of lens injection safely.
VISCOJECT™ Single-Use
The most modern surgical techniques now allow the removal of cataracts through incision sizes of less than 2.0mm. Due to the recent advances in polymer technology and in the development of intraocular lenses, it has now become possible to compress foldable acrylic lenses and inject them safely through micro incisions.
VISCOJECT™-eco Single-Use - with Hydraulic Control
The VISCOJECT-eco is a cost effective solution representing all features of the VISCOJECT system that has changed the world of Micro Incision Cataract Surgery (MICS)!
Infusion Sleeves designed to ensure maximal thermal protection to the cornea whilst maintaining chamber stability.
The CoolFlowplus insulated infusion sleeve incorporates a rigid polyimide stent to ensure maximum fluid flow and cooling throughout the phaco procedure, even at the highest vacuum levels and though the smallest of incisions.

Single-use Instruments for Cataract Surgery
ONE WAY TO SUCCESS
LESS THAN PERFECT CLEANING MEANS YOU ARE TAKING A CHANCE - A CHANCE YOU NO LONGER NEED TO TAKE.
As a surgeon, you know that patient's safety comes first and foremost. That's equally true of the way you carry out the intervention and the instruments that you use to operate. Clinically clean and sterile - these are some of the most important requirements that modern instruments have to be. This realization is changing the way we think and the way we approach surgical intervention. For the same reason, the use of re-usable products in the operating theatre is coming under ever more critical scrutiny.
Changes can be seen in cataract surgery as well. Even so, many experts are still choosing re-usable products in combination with disposable products where available. By using single-use instruments they are accepting the risk that prions can survive the sterilization techniques that can trigger infections - with potentially serious consequences.
CLEANING CAN'T MAKE INSTRUMENTS 100% STERILE AND CLEAN.
Single-use instruments guarantee that you can avoid this potential cross infection
Micro-instruments often have extremely small dimensions, making absolutely sterile cleaning impossible even if you follow the cleaning instructions precisely. The result: there is still a risk of infection for patients when reprocessed instruments are used. What is more, inadequate cleaning can lead to complications which may then cause massive disruption to the operating procedure.
Medicel is now the first - and the only - supplier to offer you a solution that is 100% reliable: our complete set of phaco accessories, including I/A instruments, as single-use products. Products that are guaranteed to be sterile - to guarantee that operations are safe and free from contaminants. That way, surgeons can take full responsibility with peace of mind.
Another benefit: even the costs turn out to be more favourable. The initial cost of disposable sterile products is supposedly higher, but this is more than balanced out because there is no longer any need to clean or reprocess any re-usable products.Single-use products also offer an economic alternative in terms of cost-effectiveness.
FIRST LINE" - STRICTLY SINGLE USE!
Medicel offers a complete range of phaco accessories as disposable products. These include phaco tips (with wrench), infusion sleeves and test chambers, a bi-manual I/A set for the bi-manual method and I/A instruments with integrated tips for the mono-manual method.
I/A instruments for the bi-manual and mono-manual surgical technique
Disposable versions of tubing systems, cannulas, surgical knives, phaco tips and other instruments are becoming increasingly popular in the operating theatre.
It has been proven that I/A instruments with an extremely small lumen cause the greatest difficulties when it comes to cleaning. But re-usable products have always been the traditional choice for I/A instruments.
Now that tradition has come to an end, because Medicel is offering a complete range of single-use instruments for both the mono-manual and bi-manual techniques.
Swiss Bi-manual I/A System for the bi-manual technique
The curved irrigation and aspiration cannulas with a diameter of just 0.8 mm (21 g) can be introduced effortlessly through the smallest paracenteses. At the same time, the inner volumes are selected so that efficient capsule cleaning is ensured with a stable anterior chamber.
Swiss Bi-manual I/A System
The single-use I/A Bi-Manual Set SBS100 comprises of:
Irrigation handpiece with curved cannula, 21 g (0.8mm) and an irrigation opening of 0.5mm. The cannula is open at the front for active rinsing.
Aspiration handpiece, curved, 21 g (0.8 mm). The aspiration opening is 0.35 mm. The aspiration head is roughened for capsule polishing.
Swiss Mono-Manual I/A System for the mono-manual technique
Our selection of mono-manual I/A instruments features one straight version and one version angled at 45°. Both models are available in the standard 19 g version and also in the 20 g version required for the micro incision method. The roughened aspiration tip can be used for reliable selective polishing of the posterior capsule.

The range of single-use Swiss Mono-Manual Instruments comprises of:
